At Sabden Bowling Club, we take pride in preserving the rich heritage of crown green bowling while also embracing the excitement of competition. Our dedicated members are committed to upholding the values of sportsmanship, camaraderie, and fair play, creating an inclusive environment for people of all ages and skill levels. The club's facilities and events cater to both recreational players and serious competitors, ensuring that everyone can experience the joy of this engaging and strategic game.
Sabden Crown Green Bowling Club was opened in 1991, financed by the people of Sabden, Sabden businesses and local fund-raising events. In the years that followed the pavilion was built, which today provides a spacious, centrally-heated amenity with cooking and dining facilities. Licences for the sale and consumption of alcohol are arranged on an occasional basis at the discretion of the bowling club committee. The club is also equipped with floodlights and a generous provision of outdoor seating.
Throughout the year the club hosts a number of open bowling competitions attracting bowlers of all abilities from across the North of England and further.
Sabden has ample street parking within the vicinity of the club and a village car park off Padiham Road situated opposite the White Hart Inn. Please be considerate to the neighbourhood when parking on the street.
